About this casale

A beautiful farmhouse recently renovated to offer every modern comfort without forsaking original features. Located in an exclusive and secluded area overlooking the Umbrian hills, this haven of peace is immersed in unspoiled landscape and includes two structures connected by a unique stone passageway featuring two large glass walls and an arch.

On the ground floor there is the living area, with large spaces joined by an arched doorway. Here we have a living room with fireplace, kitchen, porch, bathroom and a study. The living area overlooks the patio and frames the magnificent view over the garden with its central fountain, and the surrounding countryside. The study looks onto a romantic pergola and the pool with a spectacular panoramic view.

On the first floor, rooms are divided into two separate parts, each accessible by its own staircase. The stairs in the sitting room lead to three bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom and a large terrace; the other stairs from the kitchen lead up to a further two bedrooms and bathrooms. The house, which is at a short distance from Lake Trasimeno, perfectly blends luxury and modern style with tradition, so that you can enjoy the prevailing quiet bathed in the beauty of the Umbrian landscape.

The garden has olive trees, rose bushes and lavender, and features a wooden belvedere, carved out from an oak trunk, overlooking breath-taking panoramic views.

Panicale is a historical and picturesque village of Medieval origin which still maintains its structural and architectural characteristics. The town’s plan is structured in concentric circles and represents one of the most advanced systems for military defence. This structure allowed the fortress of Panicale to resist to several sieges throughout the centuries. What to see in Panicale Porta Perugina is the entrance to Piazza Umberto I where one can find a fountain in travertine which dates back to 1473. Higher up one encounters the Collegiate Church of San Michele Arcangelo, which contains a small museum with works by Caporali and Masolino da Panicale. Next, one comes across the Palazzo del Podestà which was built in the 12th century and is the highest point in Panicale. Descending along via Sellari one reaches via Cesare Caporali and the municipal theatre of the same name. Reaching Porta Fiorentina, one enters Piazza Regina Margherita and finds the deconsecrated church of Sant’Agostino, which is now home to the Museum of Tulle. Finally, there is the Church of San Sebastiano, dated between the 14th and 15th century, featuring frescos by Pietro Perugino
