Fontesalci, an ancient farmhouse built in 1500, was renovated in 2008, and great care was taken to maintain its original character, and the authenticity of the area. Located near Greppolischieto castle, it has charming views of the gentle Umbrian hills and Lake Trasimeno.
The renovation ensured that the distinctive features of the Umbrian farmhouse were preserved, keeping ancient materials such as stones, bricks, tiles, shingles and wooden beams.
The building, which follows the gentle slope of the hill, includes a number of rooms which have been put together into a harmonious ensemble. On the ground floor, the former stable area, there is now a large, pleasant living room with arches, and a chill-out room overlooking the pool.
The main bedroom, with en suite bathroom, is on the first floor, with access to a wonderful terrace with stunning colourful sunset views. On the same floor there are two further bedrooms, two bathrooms and a beautiful lounge. The finish is excellent, with special attention paid to quality and design.
The garden has been lovingly tended, with rose bushes, jasmine, lavender, wisteria, rosemary and oleanders, with everything aimed at providing unforgettable memories surrounded by the aromas and colours of nature.
